MDaemon Email Server 24.5 has been released, with new features that benefit administrators and end-users. Here’s a quick look at what’s new in MDaemon.
OneDrive Integration for MDaemon Webmail
MDaemon Webmail users can now view their Microsoft OneDrive folders and files. They can also upload, download, copy, move, delete and even view files (using Microsoft's view link).
Settings Search for MDaemon Webmail & Remote Administration
The new Settings Search feature allows administrators and end users to search for an MDaemon configuration setting or Webmail feature without having to remember which configuration screen to navigate to.
Connecting IP Address Reports
Connecting IP address lists have been added to the SMTP Screening menu located under the Security Manager. Saving the IP addresses of SMTP/IMAP/POP login attempts so new and previously-failed IPs can be reported is now optional.
Dynamic Screening Improvements
Instead of freezing an account when it has failed authentication too many times, it is added to the new Blocked Account List. Blocked accounts can still log in from Trusted IPs and IPs on the Dynamic Allow List. Accounts on the Exempt Account List will not be added to the Blocked Account List.
Management of Password Recovery Email Addresses
Both administrators and end users can now manage password recovery email addresses. When a user needs login assistance, these alternate email addresses will be used to communicate with the user to initiate password changes.
Auto-populate of MDaemon Instant Messenger Buddy Lists
Administrators can now automatically populate users’ MDaemon Instant Messenger buddy lists.
Other New MDaemon Features & Improvements
- ActiveSync Folder Exclusions (previously only available for individual clients) are now available at the Global, Domain, Client Type and Account level.
- The ActiveSync Migration Client now supports OAUTH for migrations from Office 365.
Remote Administration
- New settings have been added to block HTML images in spam messages for MDaemon Webmail users. When this setting is enabled, Webmail users will not be able to see remote images in messages, and the images will also be blocked when replying to or forwarding a message.
- WebAuthn (passwordless authentication) management tools have been added to Remote Administration.
MDaemon Webmail
- In the MDaemon Webmail Pro theme , we've added a "Recall" icon in the message list for messages in the Sent Items folder to make it easier for users to recall a sent message.
- The option to display attachments in the message list (when using the multiline view) has been added to MDaemon Webmail.
