Introducing MDaemon 25.5, with Web Conferencing, Send-as Permissions, and More!

MDaemon 25.5 has been released, and includes some exciting new collaboration features. Below is a quick summary of what’s new. You’ll find the complete list of new features & enhancements in the MDaemon release notes.

New Web Conferencing Server with Camera, Audio & Screen Sharing

MDaemon now includes a web conferencing server which can be connected to through MDaemon Webmail when using the Pro theme. This allows users to conduct one-on-one or group web conferencing meetings, including audio, camera, and screen sharing.

Delegate Email Sending with New “Send As” Permissions

A new "Send As Permissions" screen has been added that lets you configure additional email addresses that accounts are allowed to send mail as. This allows MDaemon Webmail users to use an account's “Send As” addresses as possible From addresses when composing an email.

 

Other Improvements

MDaemon

  • The \MDaemon\PEM\ folder is now included in the configuration file backup system.
  • VBR (Vouch by Reference) has been deprecated and removed.
  • A new SSL/TLS option has been added that will automatically detect and activate newer SSL/TLS certificates.
  • The minimum length of strong passwords can now be set higher than 15 if nonreversible password encryption is enabled.

Remote Administration

  • We’ve added the ability to apply permissions to sub-folders for user shared folders at Account Manager | Edit | Shared Folders | Edit Access Control.
MDaemon Webmail
  • We’ve added schedule publishing options to require or hide the phone, address, and notes fields on the appointment scheduling view. Click here to watch a video on MDaemon Webmail’s appointment scheduling feature.
